Hi, my name is Sumo, and I am the creator of Rise Beyond Day Camp.

My journey with camping began when I was 13 years old. By 16, I was working as a junior counselor at a summer camp. From ages 18 to 24, I took on multiple roles—camp counselor, program coordinator, assistant cook, and crew leader—gaining invaluable experience along the way.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine these experiences would cross my path again. But here we are—alive, strong, and determined to build one of the most unique day camps in Calgary, Alberta.

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Duration: 6-8 hours per day for 5 consecutive days.
